Labneh with Olive Oil & Mint

Labneh is one of the most popular breakfast dishes across the Levant, known for its smooth texture, refreshing taste, and simple ingredients. It is traditionally made by straining yogurt until it becomes thick and creamy, creating a rich spread that is both light and satisfying.

Ingredients

  • 2 cups labneh
  • 2–3 tbsp extra virgin olive oil
  • Fresh mint leaves or dried mint
  • 1/2 tsp salt (optional)
  • Olives, for serving
  • Fresh vegetables such as cucumber and tomatoes
  • Warm pita bread

Directions

1Place the labneh in a shallow serving plate or bowl and spread it evenly using the back of a spoon.

2Drizzle olive oil generously over the top.

Sprinkle fresh or dried mint and add a small pinch of salt if desired.
